No! Despite several comments about our Original flavor resembling a buffalo sauce, there is no dairy. That orange is all peppers!

Our home batches began with a small back yard garden. Now that production has expanded, we have had to make other arrangements to keep up with demand. Because we value being able to monitor the quality of our plants and pride ourselves on not using pesticides, expansion plans for proprietary growing are in the works. In the meantime, we are continuing to reach out to various bulk distributors for our products, always choosing local farmers whenever available.

The Painted Desert is a desert located in the northern region of Arizona, named for its striated rock formations whose layers resemble paintbrush strokes. We drew inspiration from its colorful features while developing our rainbow of flavors.

While no Saguaros are in the real Painted Desert, our trio of Saguaros in our logo are a tribute to our founder's hometown of Tucson, Arizona, which is nestled in the Saguaro Desert- the only region where these iconic towering cacti grow.
